Recently I have taken up silversmithing. Yes, I am very new at this and as such, my work uses the most basic of techniques.
Hopefully my 20 years of art making practice will compensate for this.
Along with this new hobby has come another obsession, Etsy. I have loved this online handmade market place for many years and so it was the obvious forum for selling my jewellery. Since opening my shop in January I have discovered the most incredible artists and craftspeople, who I plan to also feature in this blog.
I am a high school art teacher. I love sharing my passion for art with teenagers. Teaching has stretched me as an artist and I am no longer afraid to have a go at any medium. Over the years I have dabbled in painting, printmaking, wearable art, digital art and video art ...just to name a few. I hope to share some of my students work with you from time to time.
This blogging thing is very new to me. Bare with me as I fumble my way around.
